Military Marriage of Convenience?

One way to keep the government out of your personal life is to never let it in. Once you have a divorce decree, you have given the power to someone else to act as the decision maker between husband and wife.

Think of the two children squabbling over a toy, who go to the parent to resolve the issue... and the parent takes the toy away.
~Now, neither child is happy... and so often follows a similar case, with the happiness of the divorcing couple....

When one realizes all the complexities of a military divorce, perhaps it is time to take a second look at whether the marriage can be saved or if divorce is the only option.

The following links provide ideas and viewpoints on stopping a military divorce. Before committing to signing a divorce decree, it's worth exploring all the reasons to save a military marriage. Some would call this a military marriage of convenience but it could be you chooose to save your marriage for religious reasons, for the children, for medical reasons, for other benefits. Defining a couple's relationship as a military marriage of convenience is awfully harsh when one cannot possibly know the details of what goes on behind closed doors.
